1970s Mimi di N Pendant Necklace
This is a fabulous vintage Mimi di N gold-tone lion pendant. The pendant features a detailed lion with a ring in his mouth doorknocker-like pendant–a motif attributed to ancient Rome. This design was popular for several of the costume jewelry manufacturers including Napier, Trifari and Mimi di N during the 1970s. This piece is dated 1974. The chain (not believed to be original to the piece) is a twisted mesh chain.
