This beautiful 1950s Czech rhinestone brooch features a combination of topaz and amethyst-colored stones arranged in an unusual asymmetrical domed design. Rather than following a uniform curve, the arch of the brooch rises and falls across the composition in a non-conforming manner.

The brooch features alternating round chaton and marquise-shaped rhinestones with the contrasting colors of topaz and amethyst. The combination of faceted glass stones, varied shapes, and irregular contours gives the brooch an unusual appeal.

The brooch is primarily constructed of unplated brass, with plating present on some of the individual rhinestone cup settings. This type of partially plated or unplated construction is consistent with period manufacturing practices and should not be mistaken for plating loss.
