These gorgeous 1950s Schiaparelli clip-back earrings exemplify the adventurous use of color and texture associated with Schiaparelli costume jewelry. Each earring features a dramatic pear-shaped watermelon rhinestone, whose shifting pink and greenish-turquoise coloration creates wonderful visual depth against the richly textured gold-tone setting.

During the early 1950s, Schiaparelli Jewels contracted with Iskind Manufacturing to produce costume jewelry under the Schiaparelli name. Later, Berne Inc. obtained the manufacturing contract, while the jewelry designs originated in Paris.
