History

In the early 1990s, Bittar started hand-crafting jewelry from materials like luminescent Lucite and semi‑precious stones. His work caught the attention of industry tastemakers, beginning with Dawn Mello at Bergdorf Goodman in 1992, leading to placements at Saks Fifth Avenue and other high-profile stores.

This propelled him into creating collaborations with major fashion houses and cultural icons—Burberry, Patricia Field, the Cooper-Hewitt Museum, and celebrities—placing bold, sculptural Lucite designs at the forefront.

Throughout his career, he earned major honors, including CFDA Accessory Designer of the Year (2010) and multiple awards from the Accessories Council

He grew his brand internationally with boutiques in key U.S. cities. After a stint under Brooks Brothers’ ownership (post‑2015), Bittar regained full control in 2020 and relaunched his brand with expanded lines and strategic new store openings in New York and San Francisco.
