This is a very interesting c. 1960s vintage Goldette silver-tone Brutalist necklace featuring almost a Robert Larin style. The necklace highlights a textured surface surmounted by oval and circ rings. Spring ring clasp with snail chain construction.
Goldette was part of Circle Jewelry Products, a New York-based costume jewelry company that flourished primarily during the 1950s through the early 1970s. It was founded by a designer named Ben Gartner, who, along with his team, developed a niche for creating pieces that evoked the look and feel of antique and Victorian-era jewelry and later as seen in this piece, Brutalist designs. While the brand never produced fine jewelry, it became beloved for its richly detailed, gold-tone designs that often mimicked the craftsmanship of old-world treasures. The company hosted a column in Woman’s World Daily called, “Circle Talk.”
