This is a spectacular vintage seven-strand or fill-in bib necklace by Robert. The features transparent class beads flanked by ribbed tubular spacers followed by oval speckled milk glass beads flanked by cone-shaped brass spacers. The necklace has a very dramatic look to it with an ethnic flair. A truly spectacular piece for the “boho” fashion scene.

In 1959, the company struggled to fulfill its orders and revamped its merchandising and distribution, which limited its customer base to specialty stores and “better” department stores. The operational change resulted in the company functioning without a sales force, allowing it to concentrate fully on manufacturing. Due to the highly hand-crafted nature of the intricate filigree designs, the company felt it could better serve a limited (considered more prestigious) customer base.
